FRISCO -- It felt like 2016 again. FC Dallas rolled to a 3-0 home victory over the Seattle Sounders on Sunday, inspiring hopes that this campaign will have more in common than the Supporters' Shield winning season two years ago than last year's season that ended without postseason play.
FCD still has a long way to go before convincing it can contend this season, with Sunday's win coming against a Sounders team on short rest after a midweek CONCACAF Champions League match in Guadalajara, Mexico, and without several key contributors because of injuries.
Still, FCD coach Oscar Pareja is pleased with the team's early returns getting four points from its first two matches.
