FRISCO -- The 16th year of the Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game was Saturday night at Dr Pepper Ballpark and the event has raised $4-million in the first 15 years. Dirk Nowitzki has taken over as host for the last several years and he got great support this year, including Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
He said he was present for one reason: “Dirk Nowitzki, simple as that. Everything he’s done in his career and for the city of Dallas. It’s humbling and it’s about following guys like this.”
A surprise player was former Maverick Zaza Pachulia, who also is a newly crowned NBA champion with Golden State.
