The Dallas Sidekicks play the Rio Grand Valley Barracudas Saturday night at 7 p.m. at the Allen Events Center with the visitors having scored a major victory recently.
In the Southwest Division of the MASL, the Monterrey Flash have taken over the mantle as the top dog after Solaris did not return to the league for this season, and had been undefeated in divisional play all season until RGV beat them handily, 7-3, last Sunday in South Texas. It was a victory that had been on the horizon as the Barracudas had shown well against league powers San Diego (an overtime loss in California) and Tacoma (a surprising 8-3 victory), something Dallas has not been able to do this season.
