The Expansion Draft has come and gone and FC Dallas unfortunately lost out on their longest tenured player in defender Zach Loyd.
Atlanta United selected the veteran defender with their third pick of the draft. Because of their selection, Minnesota was unable to snag any other FC Dallas player per the rules of the draft.
Loyd has been with FC Dallas since he was drafted in 2010 out of UNC with the fifth selection in the draft that year. Loyd has played in 180 regular season games for the club since 2010. He was a regular starter at both right back and then more recently at center back.
