North Texas soccer fans should have plenty to cheer about Sunday, when the U.S. Women's National Team plays Jamaica at Toyota Stadium with a spot in the 2019 Women's World Cup on the line.
The American women, ranked No. 1 in the world, are on a roll. Last week in North Carolina, in the first round of the CONCACAF Women's Championship, the World Cup qualifying tournament for teams from North America, Central America and the Caribbean, the United States barreled past Mexico 6-0, Panama 5-0 and Trinidad and Tobago 7-0.
A win Sunday over underdog Jamaica would advance the United States to the CONCACAF title game here on Wednesday.
