We always criticize referees for the poor calls they make. Last season seemed like a nightmare, with players, fans, and coaches all complaining about poor reffing. This season started off rough for referee Kevin Stott, who missed two calls in FC Dallas' 2-1 win over the LA Galaxy, prompting the MLS DisCo to suspend Jermaine Jones and Dave Romney for their actions in the game. However, we saw an excellent piece of officiating from Stott in the match between Chicago and Real Salt Lake. As Nemanja Nikolic received a ball, clearly in an offside position, everyone on the pitch seemed to freeze.
