When the 2017 season ended, FC Dallas fans weren't so sure they'd be seeing more of forward Maxi Urruti. The Argentine expressed frustration in the summer after feeling the club misrepresented his feelings about an approach from a club in his home country. With the 26-year-old regularly popping up in transfer rumors, it seemed like he'd be on his way.
Urruti is back in North Texas, though, and not only says he's ready to play a part in the 2018 season but also would stay even longer. Technical director Fernando Clavijo told MLS' official website that he's working on a contract extension for Urruti, and the forward said this week that he's open to an agreement.
