OVERVIEW: When the first round of the 2016 draft ends, it’s only the beginning for those who are making the calls in the 32 respective war rooms. There will still be players with first-round grades on almost everybody’s board and there may be a scramble to get up higher in the second round to get them. Trades are very common in the second round, so these picks currently assigned to teams may change dramatically once the clock starts up.
1. Cleveland – Michael Thomas, WR, Ohio State. The Browns used their first-round pick to land a quarterback of the future.
