The Vikings are trying to get some of their better defenders back from injury, but it has been a struggle.
After practicing on a limited basis on Wednesday and Thursday, Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith only stretched at the start of Friday’s practice before heading off the practice field, presumably to receive treatment on his ailing hamstring and knee. It didn’t appear that Smith would be practicing on Friday, but a full injury report is due out this afternoon.
Linebacker Anthony Barr, nose tackle Linval Joseph and defensive end Everson Griffen, none of whom practiced earlier this week, all appeared to be working their way back on the field on a limited basis on Friday.
