- Starting cornerback Cole Luke (2013)
- Backup cornerback Nick Watkins (2014)*
- Backup defensive end Grant Blankenship (2014)*
Smythe committed to Mack Brown but re-opened his recruitment in December of 2012 after his departure from Austin.
