The Carolina Panthers announced they re-signed linebacker Ben Jacobs on Wednesday.
The Carolina Panthers continue to focus on re-signing their own players and on Wednesday agreed to a contract with linebacker Ben Jacobs, according to the team's site. This is the third player the Panthers have re-signed, including long snapper J.J. Jansen and defensive end Wes Horton. They also used the franchise tag on Josh Norman Tuesday, making it almost a certainty that he will be back in 2016.
Jacobs was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Cleveland Browns in 2011 and joined the Panthers prior to the 2013 season and he spent a majority of the year on the practice squad.
