The Bears have waived quarterback Jimmy Clausen and elevated David Fales from the practice squad.
The Chicago Bears have waived backup quarterback Jimmy Clausen and elevated David Fales from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.
"We have waived Jimmy Clausen," head coach John Fox said today. "And we’re bringing David Fales up to the active roster. That’s effective today."
Fox said the move was more about wanting to give Fales, the club's 2014 sixth-round draft pick, a longer look as the club's primary backup.
"I think, we know, we had some interest in David.
