49ers early candidates all offensive minded

Early on in their coaching search, the 49ers appear set on finding an offensive mind.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The San Francisco 49ers' coaching search has begun. And all the names surfacing coach the offensive side of the ball.

ESPN is reporting the 49ers will interview former coordinator Mike Shanahan and Bills running backs coach Anthony Lynn. The team has also requested an interview with Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson, according to the NFL Network, who is one of the hottest candidates this offseason.

Shanahan, 63, interviewed with the 49ers for their vacancy last offseason after a disastrous end to his four-year tenure in Washington, when he left in 2013 after going 3-13.
