On June 23 Tom Brady had his "Deflategate" appeal heard. The post-hearing briefs are expected next week. Following the briefs, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is anticipated to take his time making a decision. Brady "shouldn't expect a decision any sooner than mid-to-late July". Goodell could do anything from upholding the four-game suspension to completely eradicating the suspension all together. Brady's lawyer Jeffrey Kessler weighed in on the potential outcome. "I don't know what the timetable is," said Kessler. "I think we put in a very compelling case."
