Redskins running back Silas Redd will undergo season ending surgery. Redd is believed to have torn his ACL and MCL is Thursday night's game. The Redskins lost both Redd and tight end Niles Paul in the preseason opener. Head coach Jay Gruden feared the worst with both men and his fears were realized.
Fantasy Analysis:
This injury pretty much locks Chris Thompson into a roster spot. He will likely be competing with rookie Matt Jones for the RB2 job, a competition Jones is the favorite to win. It was a bad night all around for the Redskins.
