Stephen Hill was a promising second-round pick of the Jets in 2012. His athleticism was unbelievable but he was a very raw talent. He had issues with catching and route running. Leave it to the Jets to plug him in as a starter and depend on him to be a major contributor. Sure enough he fell flat on his face and the Jets released him. The Panthers did the right thing, signed him and added him to their practice squad. They allowed him to work and improve his skills. After being patient with Hill, Panthers' head coach Ron Rivera says Hill has been the standout of OTAs.
