Carolina Panthers wide receiver Devin Funchess will not start the season opener. Head coach Ron Rivera says that Funchess is the WR3 behind Ted Ginn and Philly Brown. Funchess has missed significant time with a hamstring injury and has not had much time to practice. With Kelvin Benjamin out for the season with a torn ACL, Funchess is expected to be his primary replacement.

This is pure foolishness and Funchess will be KB's replacement. There is no way they'll be rolling with two mediocre deep threats and leaving a 6-foot-5 athlete on the bench.
