Buffalo Bills quarterback E.J. Manuel was a healthy scratch Week 9 with Josh Johnson serving as the active backup. However, head coach Rex Ryan insists that Manuel is still the QB2 in Buffalo. "We had a short week and Josh was really, he knew the game plan going in," Ryan said. "He knew the thing like the back of his hand — probably knew it better than Tyrod. And so that's the only reason. Manuel is our backup, and will be for the rest of the things."
