The fantasy football season is rapidly approaching the playoffs, which means the final weeks of the regular season carry added weight. For some, you're already in the playoffs. While we won't list all the point scorers for you here, we will point out a few of the best and worst performances from the early games. We can't list everyone, and there are several strong performances that were left out (like Blake Bortles). With that in mind, here are the best and worst efforts from the Week 13 early games.
Best:
Russell Wilson, QB, Seahawks
I wasn't expecting much from Wilson, as he was going up against a really, really good Minnesota defense. Oops. Wilson torched the Vikings, to the tune of 33 fantasy points.
Marcus Mariota, QB, Titans
Mariota did terrible things to the Jacksonville defense. His running totals alone gave him 17 points on the day. He ended with 35 fantasy points, the most of any player so far.
Allen Robinson, WR, Jaguars
Robinson dropped 33 fantasy points, thanks in large part to 3 TD catches. He had 10 grabs for 153 yards as well. He was the top fantasy WR from the early games by a wide margin.
Javorius Allen, RB, Ravens
Allen had a good matchup against a poor Dolphin run defense, but that's not where he did his damage. Allen only had 63 yards on the ground, but added 107 yards and a TD in the passing game. He finished with 22 fantasy points.
Delaine Walker, TE, Titans
Walker racked up 15 fantasy points for his owners. He reeled in eight passes for 92 yards and a TD. Richard Rodgers had 20 points to lead all TEs, but he played Thursday Night and we're focusing on Sunday's performers.
Worst:
Matt Ryan, QB, Falcons
Ryan didn't have the worst fantasy performance among QBs (Teddy Bridgewater had two points against Seattle), but Ryan's was among the most disappointing. He put up just 12 points against a beatable Tampa Bay secondary. He threw yet another pick, too.
Adrian Peterson, RB, Vikings
Peterson is easily the biggest loser today. He put up just one fantasy point. He had eight carries for a measly 18 yards.
Todd Gurley, RB, Rams
It was another rough game for Gurley, who had just four fantasy points. Against the Cardinals, Gurley had just nine carries for 41 yards.
Chris Ivory, RB, Jets
Another RB who disappointed was Ivory. He had just four fantasy points, thanks to a fumble. Making matters worse, fantasy owners watched Ivory's backup, Bilal Powell, put up 16 fantasy points.
Jarvis Landry, WR, Dolphins
Landry produced just two catches for five yards against the Ravens. He was a complete non-factor, with DeVante Parker getting most of the action. It's Landry's worst game of the season.
