So should you rush and pick up Gordon on the waiver wire? Sure if you're desperate. I don't think he is a lottery ticket but more of a scratch off. Is that harsh maybe. But Everyone thinks of Gordon's great 2013 season. But what about the last season he played? In 2014 he played in five games and had 24 receptions for 303 yards and zero touchdowns. That's an average of 4.8 receptions, 60.6 yards. Will you really be confident in starting a wide receiver on the Browns? Maybe if he goes to another team he has value but until then pump the brakes.
All I am saying don't go blowing a bunch of FAAB on him but if you want to drop a second defense, a random tight end or some other guy who you know will never play on your team.
