For all of you looking for fantasy football advice or help when considering who to pick up on the waiver wire this week, look no further. Well, unless you want more than just Jimmy Garoppolo fantasy football advice because that's all this article is. Whether or not Jimmy Garoppolo is worth an add in fantasy leagues. So in case you still live in 1849 and don't know that the San Fransisco 49ers signed Jimmy Garoppolo well then spoiler alert? So the name of Garoppolo is a big one and might lead people to pick him up this week on the waiver wire. I can understand for the owners who drafted Aaron Rodgers and Andrew Luck in a single quarterback league, or even worse (pointing the finger at me) in a two-quarterback league. But unless you're totally desperate I don't know if I would add Garoppolo.
Before the season started quarterbacks in their first season under Kyle Shanahan numbers came out to an average of a 61.2 percent completion percentage, 4,064 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions over a full season. That sample size is with four teams by the way. The system is complex and learning it quickly is tough, just ask Matt Ryan who went from 21 touchdowns and 16 interceptions in year one to 38 touchdowns and seven interceptions in the second year.
This season Brian Hoyer and C.J. Beathard have combined to throw for 1,690 yards, six touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Now I will say Garappolo is better than both of those quarterbacks but remember that I warned you about the complexity of the offense and learning it quickly.
After reading this article, I am interested to see how you think Garoppolo will do for the rest of the fantasy football season.
Jimmy Garoppolo For the rest of the season will finish as a #FantasyFootball QB....? #GoNiners
