The wide receiver group is deep this year, so you can get away with starting a lot of different players. If you're torn between a few players, use my rankings to figure out who to start and who to sit.

Other Rankings: QB, RB, WR, TE, DEF
Rank & Player | Opponent | Notes |
1. Calvin Johnson, DET | GB | Like anyone other than Megatron was going to be No. 1. |
2. Jordy Nelson, GB | @DET | Going against the Lions increases Nelson's value this week. |
3. Brandon Marshall, CHI | @NYJ | Marshall had a huge week last time out, so don't even think about sitting him. |
4. Dez Bryant, DAL | @STL | Dez bounced back like I said he would. It was one of the few things I go right last week. Keep playing him. |
5. Julio Jones, ATL | TB | Julio looks healthy, which means he's a safe start every week. |
6. Demaryius Thomas, DEN | @SEA | Thomas will always be a WR1, even against Seattle. |
7. Randall Cobb, GB | @DET | Given that the Packers throw the ball a ton, Cobb is safe play. |
8. Antonio Brown, PIT | @CAR | Brown should be a WR1 for much of the season. |
9. Alshon Jeffery, CHI | @NYJ | Jeffery's had a slow start to the season, but he's got a great matchup this week. |
10. Andre Johnson, HOU | @NYG | Playing against the Giants increases his value. |
11. Vincent Jackson, TB | @ATL | He's not a WR1, but Jackson is worth a start. |
12. Cordarrelle Patterson, MIN | NO | I'm all-in on Patterson. |
13. Keenan Allen, SD | @BUF | I'm a big Allen fan. I expect big things from him against the Bills. |
14. Percy Harvin, SEA | DEN | He's a tough player to trust for a full season because of injury issues, but play him if you got him. |
15. Julian Edleman, NE | OAK | Edleman has looked really good so far this season. |
16. Mike Wallace, MIA | KC | Not a huge fan of Wallace (too inconsistent), but he has played well so far this year. |
17. Pierre Garcon, WAS | @PHI | Garcon has had an awful start, but don't bail on him yet. |
18. Michael Crabtree, SF | @ARI | Crabtree looked good against the Bears, but I don't know if that continues this week. |
19. Jeremy Maclin, PHI | WAS | Another injury risk, but worth a play if you have him. |
20. Reggie Wayne, IND | @JAC | Wayne struggled last week, but playing the Jags helps. |
21. Larry Fitzgerald, ARI | SF | Fitz kinda bounced back last week. Hopefully he continues to improve. |
22. Michael Floyd, ARI | SF | Floyd is coming off a down week with a less than stellar matchup. |
23. Emmanuel Sanders, DEN | @SEA | The return of Welker and the matchup with Seattle severely hurts Sanders. |
24. Sammy Watkins, BUF | SD | That was a great Week 2 performance out of Watkins. He's worth a flex look. |
25. Golden Tate, DET | GB | I'm expecting a shootout this week. Tate could be a sneaky start. |
26. Wes Welker, DEN | @DEN | Welker returns this week, but he's got a tough matchup. |
27. DeSean Jackson, WAS | JAC | Will Jackson play? He's worth a flex look if he does. |
28. Torrey Smith, BAL | @CLE | A rough start so far for Smith and gets rougher with the Cleveland defense up next. |
29. Victor Cruz, NYG | HOU | The Giants offense has looked awful. There is no reason to risk playing Cruz. Hopefully you have a better option. |
30. Eric Decker, NYJ | CHI | Decker has a good matchup this week, but is battling an injury. |
31. Marques Colston, NO | MIN | Colston is coming off a no-catch performance. He should bounce back. |
32. T.Y. Hilton, IND | @JAC | He's a big play threat, but not exactly consistent. He's had big games in the past against the Jags. |
33. DeAndre Hopkins, HOU | NYG | Hopkins could have a breakout season. But you don't need to start him quite yet. |
34. James Jones, OAK | @NE | It's been a good start for Jones. Hopefully he finds a way to keep it up. |
35. Mohamed Sanu, CIN | TEN | Sanu's value will rise or drop depending on if A.J. Green plays. I don't think Green will play this week. |
36. Brandin Cooks, NO | MIN | Cooks regressed last week. I'm still not sure what his outlook is for the rest of the season. |
37. Terrance Williams, DAL | @STL | Williams will be a bye-week starter, but there isn't a need to start him right now. |
38. Kendall Wright, TEN | @CIN | Wright looks like a WR3 at best right now. |
39. Kelvin Benjamin, CAR | PIT | He's raw but talented. Stash him on your bench. |
40. Justin Hunter, TEN | CIN | Hunter could be a starter later this year, but he's a backup for now. |
41. Anquan Boldin, SF | @ARI | Don't trust Boldin. He's too inconsistent. |
42. Greg Jennings, MIN | NO | Jennings is a backup, especially with the way Cordarrelle Patterson has been playing. |
43. Dwayne Bowe, KC | @MIA | Slow start for Bowe. Don't play him if you can avoid it. |
44. Steve Smith, BAL | @WAS | People act like Smith is still an elite WR. He's not. Keep him on your bench. |
45. Cecil Shorts, WR, JAC | @WAS | I like Shorts, but I wish he wasn't stuck on the Jags. |
46. Marcus Wheaton, PIT | @CAR | Wheaton will be good, but you don't need to start him quite yet. |
47. Andrew Hawkins, CLE | NO | He's valuable in a PPR league, but not so much in a standard one. |
48. Brian Quick, STL | DAL | Quick has been solid so far and playing Dallas helps him,. |
49. Riley Cooper, PHI | WSH | Cooper has not looked good so far this year. |
50. Roddy White, ATL | TB | UPDATE 2: White is out tonight, so don't play him. |
