I'm a big fan of the matchup defense, meaning you choose your defense based more on who the defense is playing than the defense itself. With six teams on bye, your options will be limited this week. I list the top 10 only because I base my rankings on a standard, 10-team league.
Byes: Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, San Diego Chargers & Washington Redskins
Last Update: Nov. 8
Other Rankings: QB, RB, WR, TE, DEF
Rank & Team | Opponent | Notes |
1. Broncos | @OAK | A great matchup for one of the better fantasy defenses. |
2. Cowboys | @JAC | The Cowboys are banged up, but the Jaguars aren't very good. |
3. Seahawks | NYG | The Seahawks have been playing better and the Giants have a penchant for turning the ball over. |
4. Cardinals | STL | A good matchup for the Cards. |
5. Steelers | @NYJ | The Jets are a disaster on offense. |
6. Bengals | CLE | A decent matchup for the Bengals. UPDATE: Nothing went Cincy's way Thursday night. |
7. Ravens | TEN | The Ravens have been performing well and this is a solid matchup. |
8. Lions | MIA | This isn't the greatest matchup, but the Lions have one of the better fantasy defenses. |
9. Chiefs | @BUF | A solid matchup for the Chiefs. |
10. Eagles | CAR | The Eagles are good at forcing turnovers, which is huge for fantasy. |
