Yannick Bolasie to have second knee operation in March as Ronald Koeman insists Everton star is 'really positive' about return from horror injury

Yannick Bolasie will begin the next phase of his recovery from a horror knee injury next month when he undergoes a second operation.

The Everton winger was injured during the 1-1 draw with Manchester United on December 4 when he crumpled after colliding with Antony Martial. It was initially diagnosed as cruciate ligament damage but further scans revealed that he had also torn his meniscus.

It was such a bad injury that before doctors could address the cruciate issue, Bolasie needed surgery to rectify the meniscus problem and that was done before Christmas. The procedure was a success but now the Congo international faces the most serious operation to repair the ruptured ligament.
