Ashley Williams says Everton “did enough for a clean sheet” against Watford but were left frustrated by a “silly goal” that handed the Hornets the points.
Troy Deeney struck a 79th minute winner at Vicarage Road after a tightly contested game between two sides that are in the hunt for seventh place in the Premier League table.
Williams admits the Blues are frustrated to have lost ground in that race, with Burnley – who currently occupy seventh – picking up a point against Southampton, while the result also saw Watford move to just a point behind the Toffees in 10th.
