Thomas Myhre believes Maarten Stekelenburg’s early-season form proves that Everton are set to enjoy his prime years.
The former Norway international, who made 82 appearances for the Blues in the late 1990s, holds the commonly-held view in football that, unlike outfield players, goalkeepers peak after the age of 30.
Myhre has been mightily impressed by the way the Dutchman has gone about his business this term and believes the speed in which the custodian has won the trust of his teammates speaks volumes about his ability.
“He’s done ever so well,” Myhre told evertonfc.
