Forward Aileen Whelan is targeting a place in the starting line-up after scoring her first goal in Everton colours in the 4-0 win over Watford Ladies.
The new signing stepped off the bench to net a stunning second for the Blue Girls at Goodison Park on Sunday, with Olivia Chance and Simone Magill completing the rout after Georgia Brougham’s first-half opener.
Whelan caught the eye with her display, having come on for Claudia Walker at the break. And with Everton needing a point at London Bees on Saturday to wrap up the Spring Series 2 title, the recent recruit from Notts County is looking to force her way into the starting XI.
