'What a man!': Everton fans hail caretaker boss Duncan Ferguson for putting money behind the bar at local pub ahead of his first game back on the touchline against Aston Villa

Duncan Ferguson has already got fans on his side before Everton have even kicked a ball after he put money behind the bar of a pub close to Goodison Park.

The Winslow Hotel is opposite the stadium and posted on Twitter on Saturday morning that Ferguson had made the gesture.

'Massive big thanks to the legend that is Duncan Ferguson for buying all our customers their first drink this morning,' the pub said.
