Tony Pulis says West Bromwich Albion remain in the hunt for new players – but may have to wait until the top seven have ‘stopped feasting’. The astute Baggies have so far brought in Jay Rodriguez, Ahmed Hegazy and Yuning Zhang.
And while their manager is aware of the need to press on, he believes he may have to wait for the feeding frenzy to finish first.
‘We can’t spend £52m on a right back,’ Pulis said ahead of West Brom’s clash With Leicester City in the Premier League’s Asia Trophy.
‘Although we sit at the top table the top six or seven feast on the food and then we have to hang around for the scraps and pick the best we can to take the club forward.
