Gor Mahia FC captain Haron Shakava says he will relish the opportunity to challenge himself against Premier League players when he faces Everton in next month’s pre-season fixture in Tanzania.
And he is confident the Kenyan side will give the Toffees a good game in front of what is expected to be a bumper crowd at the 60,000-capacity national stadium in Dar es Salaam on 13 July.
Gor Mahia won the right to face Everton by beating AFC Leopards 3-0 in the SportPesa Super Cup final on Sunday.
The Kenyan side, based in Nairobi, are their country’s most successful side, having won the domestic top division a record 15 times throughout their history.
