Wayne Rooney's Plymouth lost once again and are now without a win in 10 games as pressure continues to increase on the former Manchester United star.
In what was a relegation six-pointer, Argyle could have gone level on points with opponents Oxford had they won the game, but went down 2-0 as the team and Rooney were once again booed off.
The result leaves Plymouth rock bottom of the league and staring relegation to League One in the face - four points off safety and having won just four of 23 league games so far.
