Wayne Rooney has trained with his Everton team-mates for the first time after securing an emotional return to his boyhood club.
Thirteen years after leaving Goodison Park for Manchester United, where he subsequently won every honour in the English game and became the Red Devils' all-time leading scorer, Rooney is back in Blue after returning to the Toffees on a free transfer.
The move was announced on Sunday afternoon and, 24 hours later, he was out on the training field with his new team-mates at Everton's Finch Farm training base as the former England captain got to work.
