Wayne Rooney has reportedly agreed a deal in principle to join DC United, but one MLS expert believes it is an ‘awful lot of money’ for the Everton man.
Reports on Thursday claimed Rooney is set for a £12m switch to Washington, with potentially his last ever Premier League appearance coming on Sunday when Everton visit West Ham on the final day of the 2017/18 season.
The 32-year-old enjoyed a romantic return to Goodison Park last summer, leaving Manchester United, and he started the season in relatively fine form.
