Wayne Rooney wants to stay at Everton and will ditch his proposed move to Major League Soccer if manager Sam Allardyce leaves the Toffees this summer.

It has been widely claimed that England’s record goalscorer has agreed a deal in principle to join MLS side DC United, having grown frustrated over his backseat role at Goodison Park.
