Everton hero Wayne Rooney has ‘agreed a deal in principle’ to join Major League Soccer club DC United this summer, according to widespread reports.
The striker has been unhappy with his role since returning to Goodison Park in July 2017 and is ready to leave after just one season back at his boyhood club.
It was suggested on Wednesday that Rooney was in ‘serious talks’ over a move to the MLS.
And now it is claimed England’s record goalscorer has agreed to leave Everton in a £12.5million move to US capital-based team DC United.
