Wayne Rooney arrives for training in chauffeur-driven car as he faces £120,000 bill to get to work for the next two years after his drink-drive shame

Wayne Rooney faces a bill of up to £120,000 to have a chauffeur drive him to and from Everton's training ground following his driving ban for drink driving.

He arrived slumped down in the passenger seat of a Range Rover at Everton's Finch Farm training ground this morning on the second of his 730 days banned from the road.

The former England captain issued a grovelling apology yesterday after he was given a two-year ban for being almost three times the drink-drive limit when he was stopped at the wheel of a car with Laura Simpson, a woman he had just met in a nightclub.
