Everton Under-23s midfielder Liam Walsh has been nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Season award.
The 19-year-old was a regular for David Unsworth’s side, who were last month crowned inaugural Premier League 2 champions.
Walsh, who grew up in Huyton, was a consistent performer in the heart of midfield for the young Blues and chipped in with six goals, including a well-taken strike in a 2-0 victory over Southampton at Goodison Park in front of a near 6,000 crowd.
He was also recognised earlier in the campaign, picking up the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for February.
