Theo Walcott believes Sam Allardyce is already getting the best out of him as he revealed the hard work being put in on the training ground ahead of Saturday’s visit of Crystal Palace.
The January signing from Arsenal has made an instant impact with the Blues, setting up Oumar Niasse’s leveller against West Brom on his debut, before scoring both goals in the 2-1 victory over Leicester City on 31 January.
Walcott said the chance to work under Allardyce was one of the key reasons behind his move to Goodison. And after three weeks with the Everton manager and his highly-experienced backroom team of assistant manager Sammy Lee, first-team coaches Craig Shakespeare and Duncan Ferguson, goalkeeper coach Martyn Margetson and Performance Director Dr Ryland Morgans, the forward is confident he will keep improving – and that an upturn in form for the Toffees is right around the corner.
