Everton midfielder Tom Cleverley is expected to sign for Watford on Thursday after the club's agreed a loan deal.
Sportsmail revealed the Vicarage Road club's interest last week amid enquiries from Newcastle United, Burnley and Aston Villa.
Cleverley has been used sparingly by Ronald Koeman and will face less opportunities following the emergence of Tom Davies and the arrival of Morgan Schneiderlin.
He joins Watford with view to making the move permanent in the summer.
