Enner Valencia netted his third goal in two games for Ecuador in the latest round of South American World Cup qualifiers on Wednesday morning, while Ramiro Funes Mori helped Argentina to an impressive 3-0 victory over Colombia.
Having sat out last week’s 2-1 defeat to Uruguay, Valencia followed up his brace against Bolivia in October by putting the seal on a 3-0 home success over Venezuela which moved his country up to third in the CONMEBOL qualification table.
Goals from Arturo Mina and Miler Bolanos had put the Ecuadorians in control before Valencia, who played the entire match, struck with four minutes remaining.
