Ronald Koeman leaving Everton to take on the Netherlands job could suit all parties, according to George Boateng.

The Dutch have failed to qualify for a second major tournament after finishing third in their World Cup qualifying group and manager Dick Advocaat is set to stand down.

Koeman, a former star of the national team, has been linked with the post before and would likely be a popular choice to succeed Advocaat.

And with the 54-year-old under pressure at Goodison Park after a disappointing start to the season, Boateng reckons it could be a good time for him to take it on.
