Tait's Under-18s Start on Winning Note

Everton Under-18s kicked off their Premier League campaign with 3-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at USM Finch Farm on Saturday morning.

A first-half brace from Kieran Phillips followed by an Ellis Simms strike helped the young Blues race into a 3-1 lead at the interval - and despite a spirited Wolves comeback in the second half Paul Tait’s side held firm to collect all three points.

Starting with real intent, Everton twice went close to scoring inside the opening two minutes - with Phillips firing over and Simms stinging the palms of Jamie Pardington in the visitors' goal.
