Former Everton striker Kevin Campbell has hailed the appointment of Marco Silva and is convinced he is a character who will “welcome the challenge of managing a huge club”.
Silva was named as the Blues 17th permanent manager on Thursday, and immediately stated his desire to “make the supporters proud” and “build a great connection between the squad and the fans”.
Campbell - who sits fourth in the Blues’ all-time Premier League goalscoring list - has been greatly enthused by the reports he has heard about the new boss.
And he is of the opinion that the current Everton dressing room will share his optimism.
