Marco Silva says supporting Everton’s pioneering community initiatives forms an essential part of his remit as the Club’s manager.
Silva is set to officially open The Blue Base, a newly-renovated building which will house Everton in the Community's programmes for elderly participants living with dementia and/or suffering from social isolation.
The Blue Base, situated on Salop Street in the shadow of Goodison Park, is also becoming an integral element of a number of Evertonians' match-going experiences in its capacity as a matchday lounge for disabled supporters and their friends and families.
“It is really important to me that I can support Everton’s community work,” Silva told evertontv, ahead of opening the facility on Wednesday.
