Gylfi Sigurdsson is aiming to be “stronger and fitter than ever” when he returns from the knee injury he suffered against Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this month.
Everton Club-record signing Sigurdsson is making “steady progress” and is “almost walking normally” after discarding his knee brace and shedding his crutches in the past week.
The Iceland international has scarcely been away from the Toffees’ USM Finch Farm headquarters in the past fortnight as he follows a recuperation programme devised by the Club’s performance department, headed up by Dr Ryland Morgans.
And Sigurdsson, who will visit a specialist for a check on his progress next week, insists his recovery is being aided by spending time with the “good people” on Everton’s medical staff.
