Marco Silva says striker Cenk Tosun’s courage and industry epitomise what the manager demands from his Everton team.
Tosun contributed a selfless frontrunning display in the Toffees’ victory over Southampton last week and was afforded a thunderous ovation when he made way for Dominic Calvert-Lewin with 15 minutes remaining.
The forward also demonstrated great strength and sound awareness to tee up a goal for Richarlison in the opening-day draw at Wolves and Silva insists Tosun “has to be happy” with his start to the campaign – even if the Turk is yet to add to the five goals he scored last season after completing a January transfer from Besiktas.
