Sam Allardyce will hold a series of one-to-one meetings with Everton’s players and has urged them to be honest as he prepares to trim his squad.
Everton’s new manager has inherited an imbalanced group and will look to offload certain individuals in the January window; summer signings Davy Klaasen and Sandro Ramirez have struggled to settle, while Kevin Mirallas has an uncertain future.
Allardyce – who was given a boost when highly-regarded young defender Jonjoe Kenny signed a new four-year contract – is not making plans just yet in terms of who he will look to bring in, though a new striker is a priority to help ease the burden on Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
