Sam Allardyce has denied that he has been contacted about the vacant managers job at Everton but indicated he is open to a return to the dugout.
Allardyce is in pole position to become the permanent replacement for Ronald Koeman following the Dutchman's departure from Goodison Park last month.
But the former England and Sunderland boss has claimed he has yet to hold talks with the club.
On whether he has been in contact with the Merseyside outfit, he told TalkSport; 'No, I haven't.
