Romelu Lukaku SPEAKS! Striker reveals frustration over lack of trophies and top transfers at Goodison Park

Romelu Lukaku says his desire to play in the Champions League and win titles, along with Everton's failure to attract the best players, are the reasons behind his decision not to sign a new contract.

The 23-year-old striker - joint top-scorer in the Premier League with Harry Kane on 19 goals - has told the Toffees he will not sign a new deal which would have made him the club's first £100,000-plus-a-week player.

Everton remain determined to tie their star asset to an extended deal, with club chief Farhad Moshiri telling talkSPORT Lukaku’s contract rejection was ‘not an issue’, and their offer of a new five-year contract is thought to still be on the table.
