Richarlison has apologised after he was sent off in the Merseyside derby following his horror challenge on Liverpool midfielder Thiago.
The Toffees striker explained that he did not intend to hurt the Spaniard but came as a result of 'over-dedication' in Everton's action-packed 2-2 draw with their local rivals.
The game, which also saw Virgil van Dijk leave the field early on following after horrific challenge from Jordan Pickford, saw both teams walk away with a point and Richarlison held his hands up for actions at Goodison Park.

'Everyone who knows my background knows that I was never a violent player,' Richarlison wrote on his website.
